Lets talk about something for a minute. Lets talk about Syria. Yeah yeah its a video game nonsense blog whatever Iíll write about whatever the hell I want. First things first-I am not a expert on the middle east nor a professor at a university...yet. I have been following the middle east events for the past 2 plus years quite closely though and lately Iíve found the new emphasis by certain news organizations to be quite annoying.
Letís get one thing straight from the get go: No one, no one, has the *answer* for Syria. A ceasefire would be nice however at this point it is virtually impossible. Heck, just recently the Russian embassy got hit with a mortar shell. Who did it? Was it the rebels? Was it government forces in rebel territory to make it look the rebels did it? DID SOMEONE SAY CHEMICAL WEAPONS?!!!?
Yeah, itsí complicated. I mean Simon Cowell has procreated. THE HUMANITY.
Yet all I keep hearing on US news (which, granted, is not a very good barometer for news) is that America needs to lead! America needs to ensure freedom! America needs to not do anything! America isnít doing enough of doing something which should be nothing! Enough of enough already. First off I find it hilarious that Syria is now getting some coverage after 2 plus years of bloody conflict. Oh, you say but we have been in the midst of an economic downturn and congress has been trying to get the sky to fall every other week. And then thereís Chuck Norris and his dumb ass piehole spewing things LIKE THIS.
I donít even want to talk about the new healthcare law either. Let me ask you this: why have my healthcare premiums been going up every year since ever? What's that? The price of everything goes up? Hrmm, lets go check on that real quick!Today, the average cost of a family health insurance offered by an employer is $13,375. Thatís up 131% over the last decadeóa period in which inflation rose only 28%. And one estimate says that if costs continue on their current trajectory, premiums will go up another 166% in the decade ahead. The data was collected by the Kaiser Family Foundation and comes via USA Today. Was that Obama from the future going back in time to ruin my life? As far as the employers cutting hours to get out of benefits that has been going on for much longer than Obama has been in office. Target and Walmart have been doing that since well before Obamacare was a gleam in Mitt Romneyís eyes. All of this is no excuse in an ever globalized world for ignoring things happening around you either. Or is it? Hell if I know. I'm going to go watch some ancient aliens because as ancient alien astronaut theorists believe....
So ends this blog of consciousness. I'd apologize but have you ever read 4chan?
If they don't have to apologize then neither do I. Peace out yo.
PS. Yes, I realize my choice of graphics pretty much removes any credibility from the words. Meh, I still feel better.
